They took the stage Monday afternoon during a student assembly at Homer High School; then they filled the high school’s 500 seats a second time Monday night with an audience of all ages. Anchorage Painter Dispels Trauma Through Art An Anchorage artist who opened a new gallery exhibit in Homer earlier this month uses art to show damaged objects and people who have suffered through trauma can still be beautiful. Neece says he has to quit for multiple reasons. South Peninsula Residents Weigh In On Fixing Budget South Kenai Peninsula Representative Paul Seaton’s office built a battery of surveys and organized two town hall meetings last week in Ninilchik and Homer. Seaton’s primary goals were to convince peninsula residents of the seriousness of the state’s financial dilemma; and second to hear their thoughts on how to avoid running off a fiscal cliff. Alaska Revenue Commissioner: Options in Face of Budget Crisis State Revenue Commissioner Randy Hoffbeck is travelling the state to explain the direness of Alaska’s fiscal crisis. Hoffbeck was in Homer last week and KBBI’s Quinton Chandler spoke with him about the state’s options in the face of low revenues and a $3 billion deficit.
